Olga Danilovic: "I don't play tennis to be a model. I play tennis because I love it"
Winner of "MOSCOW RIVER CUP presented by INGRAD" Serbian Olga Danilovic spoke to the media after the victory.

- Olga, congratulations! The first WTA title in your career, what are you feeling right now?
- Honestly, there are no words to describe this kind of feeling. Wow, just wow. This is my life and these are the moments I live for. Being able to win is an even better feeling and I'm so happy.

- You have a beautiful left-hand serve, and today it has helped you a lot. But sometimes you abused it against your opponent (Anastasia Potapova). Didn't you want to add more variation, like T-spot serve?
- Actually, it didn't help a lot (laughs). My serve has been working all week, but today the nerves have affected it a little bit, so it wasn't my best match serve. In some important points I served well enough, I managed to pull through.

- Your opponent has been playing in both singles and doubles, finishing matches late in the evening every day. Do you think it affected her in any way?
- No, she is an amazing player. We had such an amazing final! The quality of the match - two hour match - was so high, and we did went up and down, both having really amazing points. I also played a lot of matches - about seven, going through qualification. Anastasia is a great player, and I don't have much to say about her.

- Was there a key point during the game?
- We were both very calm in all of the moments, playing every point like nothing happened before. We played point by point, and that's why I think it was an amazing match.

- You play fearless tennis, but in the third set maybe you got tired and that's why you started playing calmer?
- It's true, I was tired. But it's the final and in the final you have no excuses. This is the last match, you don't have any more. All you give is going to come back. I was trying to hang in there, even though I was tired.

- It's known that you and Nastya (Potapova) are good friends. What did you say to her after the match when you hugged and shook hands?
- We have been going to the same tournaments our whole lives and hopefully will have some many finals like this in the future. If she wants to tell you what we talked about, that's fine, but I am not going to be the one to say.

- Have you already received messages of support and congratulations?
- I got so many messages, but didn't have time to sit and reply to them all, I didn't even go on social media! After everything I will probably just sit and spend a couple of hours to answer (laughs).

- Will you defend your title next year?
- For sure. I love Moscow. Two years ago I won the European championship right here, so I will definitely be back.

- What can you say about the support today?
- The crowd was so good, they were really fair. Obviously, there were cheering for Nastya more, but it's completely normal. But they were very good to me - when I played points, they were cheering. In some places the crowd doesn't cheer well, but here they were amazing.

- Olga is a very Russian name. Who gave you this name?
- You'll have to ask my mum about it, she gave me that name. I never asked her, so you have to do a press-confreence with my mum (laughs).

- What did you talk about with your coach during tough moments?
- In this kind of match you cannot say many things about tactics, it's more about motivation. He told me, that this is the last moment, there is no more than this, keep it up, hang in there, move, serve - he brought me back into the match.

- What goals do you have for the second half of the season?
- I have no idea. Right now, I didn't even realise what I did. I need a couple of days to calm down. I don't think about the future, I just want to enjoy the moment.

- Now you're playing in the top level, winning tournaments. Do you have any offers from sponsors or to do photoshoots?
- I don't play tennis to be a model. I play tennis because I love it, I love the game. I never thought about contracts and sponsors, I just want to play.

- As you won the title, what present will you give to yourself?
- I have no idea (laughs). But even if I buy something, I'm going to keep it to myself. It's y little secret from Moscow (laughs).
